| The University of South Florida's Student Government is a powerful entity at the campus. For each credit hour that one enrolls in at the university, a certain amount is paid to an Activity and Services fee. This money is then spent on, ahem, activities and services ranging from powering the soccer fields at night, to providing a gynasium to work out in, to creating a Marshall Center capable of hosting a number of events. The Student Government is set up similar to the State and National governments. As a result, each College elects Senators based on the population of the college. These Senators serve in the Legislative branch and represent students in issues ranging from parking ticket issues to resolutions regarding school wide actions. The current representatives can be seen on the right. Feel free to e-mail them and ask questions regarding issues you identify as important. They want to hear from you. |
